Scent of a Fairy

As we have established by now, Fashion Geek is a sucker for packaging. Half-assed attempts at bottling annoys me as I feel designers do not live up to their potential so it was a happy
surprise when I discovered Van Cleef’s latest fragrance, Féerie eau de toilette. The bottle evokes a sense of nostalgia as the fairy reminds me of Tinker Bell (sidenote: I didn't realise Tinker Bell was spelt as two words until I just wiki-ed this to double check. I always assumed it was Tinkerbell.) which brings me back to childhood memories of watching Disney flicks. The acquamarine facets and cabochon cap surrounded by delicate petals are just pleasing to the eye, or at least to my eye.

The perfume itself is nothing out of the ordinary, floral-fruity with a bottom note of musk, benzoin and sandalwood. Féerie launches May 2009 and is priced at HK$328 (30ml), HK$580 (50ml) and HK$880 (100ml).
