WWF’s Earth Hour is taking place on Saturday and Hong Kong’s committed to switch off lights for an hour at 8:30pm. Originating in Sydney, Earth Hour 2009 aims to reach more than one billion people in 1000 cities around the world to create the largest global social movement. Currently 1672 cities and towns in over 80 countries have signed up. Hong Kong will be doing its part with over 500 companies and organisations as well as over 1500 buildings pledging to go dark so do your part for the environment and take this opportunity to engage in a little candlelight nooky.
