I've been to Bangkok since then (and look out for an all-out takeover of the site next week with Bangkok Fashion Geek) but it's still the fashion of Cannes that's stuck in my head. An editor from US Elle who was the prettiest and least pregnant-looking pregnant woman I've ever seen, wore the YSL slit-to-there monochrome skirt with these YSL Totem sandals, just about the most awesome things I'd ever seen. (Yeah I say that every week, so sue me.) The extreme jut of the wedge combined with the almost-rusted weightiness and devilish end point make these both deadly and sort of like some historic relic.
