Bangkok Fashion Geek: Fruit of the Gods

Like all fruit that's tasty (cough, lychees, cough), mangoes are considered to be super "heaty" according to traditional Chinese health wisdom, but when in Bangkok, do as Bangkokians do -- and that means consume luscious, meaty mangos. Our first stop after landing Bangkok was Siam Square, but we didn't end up doing much there other than gorging on succulent mango desserts at Mango Tango, which serves pretty much what you'd expect. Mangos. Lots of them, made into various killer combos with tasty bedmates like sticky rice, coconut-milk sauce, ice cream and -- what I ordered -- whipped cream and cornflakes. The decor is adorable, the fruit invariably luscious and sweet, and location perfect (who dares come to Bangkok and not traverse Siam?) so it has much to recommend itself; so much so that I will end my description here and let the photos speak for themselves. And I'm guessing they're pretty popular already because, as you can click through to see, they have MERCH, in case "I heart Mango" is the grammatically problematic statement you want to make. Oh, and a plus, if you don't want to eat your tasty treats indoors, you can always cross the street and sit on a cute little bench (which we would've done, but it was wet, so instead FashionGeek and Nicola just posed with it, in that way that cool people do).
