Singapore Food La at Island Shangri-La

Not only does Hong Kong have an inordinate amount of public holidays (I’m not complaining mind you) but our beloved SAR seem to also have a food festival every other week. This Friday marks the start of the Singapore Food Festive at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong’s Café Too. Enjoy lunch and dinner buffets from June 12 until June 28 with a Singaporean twist. Expect to see Peranakan dishes that include Popiah (Stuffed Crêpe with Stewed Vegetables), Asam Laksa (Rice Vermicelli Noodles with Sweet and Sour Minced Fish Gravy and Pineapple), Chee Cheong Fun (Rice Roll with Assorted Fish Cakes in Rojak Sauce), Bubur Cha Cha (Sweet Soup with Taro, Sago and Coconut Milk) and Kuih Bingka Ubi Kayu (Nyonya Cassava Cake).
