Geek Spy: Hey Boy

A well-placed quirky cushion is bound to ignite conversation and the recently launched Throwboy just might be the thing. Appealing to the inner geek in all of us, the founder of Throwboy, Roberto Hoyos, came up with the idea in 2007. After a year of refining the designs and improving the quality of pillows, the Throwboy website was launched late last year to the delight of those who want to integrate their online lives offline. I’m particularly taken with the Mac Finder icon, although I do wonder where Windows Explorer is. Do the two of them not get along? The list of icon pillows are a bit limited right now (in that it only features Mac icons but if you line them all up in a row, presto you have your Mac toolbar. See below) but expect to see more shortly as Throwboy seems to be fairly prolific in coming with new designs. Be sure to check out their RSS cushion (with the fun tagline of ‘Feed your couch”) and their chat pillows.

Throwboy only sells online at this moment and ships internationally. Their international shipping rates are the same as domestic:
1-2 pillows: $8
3-6 pillows: $15
7-12 pillows: $30
