A couple months ago, I was introduced to Melinda Wong, founder and director of Vein, a boutique in Star Street that is bringing a piece of Scandinavian Style and Nordic design to Hong Kong. Taking a gallery approach where only two or three brands are featured for short periods, the shop also only stocks very limited quantities of designs. And a little hint, if something catches your eye and you covet it, I would recommend buying it right away as I saw this cute pair of shoes that I wanted but was already gone by the time I decided that I really needed it. Since then, I've found myself unconsciously wandering over to the shop just to see if there's anything else I want to get my hands on which in itself is a testament to Melinda's savvy buying. We talk to Melinda about her first big investment purchase and the fashion item she can’t live without.
