Welcome back everyone! Did you all have a great Christmas, Hannukah, Winter Solstice, New Year etc? The Geeks are back! So onto the regular scheduled programming, if you watch America’s Next Top Model, you’d be familiar with the editorial vs commercial model debate and how awkward poses that look ridiculous in real life somehow end up as a kickass shot when captured in a still frame. Artist Yolanda Dominguez examines this phenomenon with her project called Poses which highlights how artificial fashion editorial shots are and what happens when regular women do those poses in public. What do you think? If someone in Hong Kong randomly perches on a rail with a clutch covering half her face, what would you do?
