Had my nails done over lunch last Monday. I'm so sick of nude and variations on Chanel Particuliere that I went far, far left, out of the box. The manicurist was excited because I was the first and only customer to request the colour, Turquoise & Caicos, from Essie's resort 2010 collection released last March. I was wondering "how the F am I going to match this to anything in my closet..." and then I realized when I sat back down at my desk that I had unwittingly chosen that most iconic of hues, Tiffany blue. Which, incidentally, lead to the realization that whichever branding genius invented that colour pretty much just renamed the colour turquoise. It goes really well with my YSL Arty ring and pretty much nothing else.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourite colours of nail polish! I think it looks great with loads of stuff, though admittedly it's a bit summery! I reviewed it here as well: http://rachttlg.wordpress.com/2010/10/08/essie-turquoise-and-caicos-nail-polish-review/
