Edible Foot Fetish

Guest blogger hkLifestyleGeek finds us another fashion inspired tea collaboration. We've seen Stephen Webster, Qeelin, Stella McCartney, Chloe and Van Cleef & Arpels, now comes Jimmy Choo.

Jimmy Choo fans don't have to save up to buy a pair of the coveted heels -- they can go to MO Bar in the Landmark Mandarin Oriental and have a Jimmy Choo-inspired afternoon tea!

As you can see from the picture, the sweet creations are too pretty to pass up. The afternoon tea set takes its inspiration from the Spring/Summer 2013 collections with gypsy glamour from the late 1960s to early 1970s, featuring bright colours, embossed leather, fringes and tassels.

"When creating this afternoon tea, we wanted to showcase Jimmy Choo's Spring/Summer shoe wardrobe that is filled with bold and feminine shades," explained Sidney Schutte, executive chef at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental. "We have crafted edible miniature high heels and also took inspiration from the colours of the handbags and clutches, and have created some of the most fashionable-looking and delectable savoury and sweet items to convey their style."

Some of the delectable treats include smoked salmon cucumber sandwiches that resemble the CAYLA clutch decorated with brightly coloured cream cheese pyramid studs, and a white chocolate bag cased on Jimmy Choo's signature leopard print designs.

Other items available in the tea set include foie gras high heels on crispy brioche bread, ham mousse sandwiches with Savora mustard and milk chocolate high heels filled with lemon and chocolate biscuits.

The Jimmy Choo-inspired tea set will be available April 2 to May 5 and is HK$260 Monday to Friday, and HK$280 on weekends that includes the dessert buffet. All guests who order the tea set will get a special gift from Jimmy Choo.

So while it is a month away, make a reservation now to secure your date with Jimmy Choo!
