The Fendi Baguette has gotten a makeover with longer straps made of chain that allow for cross body wear and a front pocket handy for placing cell phones. This baguette doesn’t come cheap though. Priced at approx HK$25,000, it’s much pricier than the old Baguette making me wonder if that little bit more of fabric and chain is worth the price. Of course, practical souls will say luxury bags aren’t worth its price anyway if you are looking at the costs involved in making it. This is why brands hire PR folks to tell us about heritage and craftsmanship and what not right? Maybe it’s because I’m in the industry but that sort of emotional appeal actually works on me and undoubtedly I will find myself shelling out for more bags in the near future.
