Monki Tonk

By now I’m sure you’ve heard the buzz about European brand Monki making its way to Hong Kong. And it’s something that I’m truly looking forward to, so much so that I might even venture over to the dark side just to check the store out. And those of you who know us Geeks will know that we loath going to the dark side. But there’s something about the brand that makes me smile. I think it’s the cute graphics and delightfully quirky personality of the brand. Of course, Monki also appeals to the disaposable fashionista within us as all goods are under HK$800. To celebrate the launch of the store, from Sunday, September 26th to Tuesday, September 28th, Monki will host a special pop-up space located in front of the Monki Store in Langham Place (Shop L1/29-31). At 5pm and 9pm, on each of these 3 days, 500 Monki cushions will be given away during each session. For some reason, I really really like these cusions. If I had to give a persona to each of them, I’d say the blue one is the goofy one, yellow is the sarcastic one, black is playfully evil while pink is the princess. All typical characteristics of a Geek.
