To Die For

Maybe it comes from my publishing/advertising background but I love die-cut items. There’s something inherently sexy about recurring geometric shapes. And yes, I know the geek in me is showing its face. So who are the brains behind these lovely scarves? Surprisingly it’s not an up and coming designer but rather an architect firm called Fung + Blatt Architects. They don’t have aspirations to take over the fashion world and in fact, these products are rather innocuously placed onto their online store next to their portfolio of projects completed in the areas of residential, commercial, and community-based design. Their scarves utilise every aspect of the cloth. Too often, the negatives of the die-cut are thrown away but here they are remade into another design. Check out more of their items below.
