Few fashion brands outside of Chanel have really ignited nail trends the way nail-specific product purveyors such as OPI or Essie have, but I'm really loving the bold, out-of-box colour choices released by YSL as part of its La Laque Couture Spicy collection. The desert tones are so far away from the hues I normally favour (pastels, monochrome or a very nude nude) but, while neutral, aren't so much Sahara safari as Moroccan magic -- rich with heritage and ripe with flavours like turmeric or cumin. Can't you almost smell it? If I were the kind of girl who did her own nails, I would be all over this.
