This is going to be one of those random I like it posts that ShoeGeek in a moment of contemplation worried that you won’t like. But us Geeks simply can’t help ourselves and we are sometimes self indulgent and feel the need to share with you things that capture our fancy. I came across this fried egg rug randomly on the internet and ever since, I can’t get the image of it out of my head. On one hand, they look so comfy and the foodie in me totally gets a kick out of this. On the other hand, my mind goes straight to the gutter as I can’t help but think it looks like two giant boobs sticking out from the floor, or maybe it’s just that those giant boobs being sold at Victoria Park during CNY are forever imprinted onto my mind. Maybe this is called pandering to everyone’s taste? Regardless, this rug is unfortunately, not for sale as it’s an exhibition piece by architect Valentina Audrito. Of course, if I am truly determined, maybe I can take this picture up to Shenzhen and see if I can find someone to make it for me. After all, if people can take images of clothes up and they can sew it, a rug can’t be that hard right?
