Cutting Back

My pitiful attempt at DIY-ing this Barlow Pitone vest from Shopbop. The step-by-steps are after the cut.

I've been stuck at home sick for quite some time, including the public holiday last week and two days of this week, (better now thanks!) which left me with quite some time to twiddle my thumbs. You can only sleep so much. So I shopped on my iPhone and then impulsively pulled out this ratty old bolero-thing (ew, so OUT) and snipped it up to make this sort of cage-back vest thing, and cut off the stupid sleeves too. But what I've noticed is that DIY-ing often makes you want the real thing more, once you realize the handiwork that goes into making something. Not that I actually thought I could replicate this exactly, but you know what I mean.
