Beauty Editors Buy: SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

Inspired by Into the Gloss' "Stuff We Finish" column, I'd like to propose an HKFG alternative: "Beauty Editors Buy".

Beauty editors get a lot of products. If you're happy to switch around a lot, (and I guess this is part of the job, trying new products on the reg), beauty editors very rarely spend money on beauty items. So it must be really good stuff when they are willing to shell out their own cash to sustain a supply.

It would be rude to start with any other item than SK-II's cult hero product, the Facial Treatment Essence, used after cleanser and before serum. It's filled with Pitera, a strain of fermented yeast discovered in a sake brewery when scientists observed the staff working with the stuff had the most beautiful, youthful hands. And it has the ability to completely reform your skin. For anyone who's ever been tempted to skip the toner step, it's downright revolutionary -- your pores are smaller, skin softer, and your serum and cream gets absorbed so much better.

Every single beauty editor I've ever spoken to uses this. Isn't it time you did too?
