Guest blogger hkLifestyleGeek checks out Cartier's bridal jewellery

With the New Year come and gone, romance in the air already?

Cartier has unveiled its latest engagement ring called Destinee sure to set some hearts aflutter hoping to receive that coveted red and gold box...

To launch the new ring, Cartier launched its fourth installment of its bridal film series with the theme, "True love has a colour and a name".

The latest short film is called Destinee, based on an original screenplay by award-winning American filmmaker Drake Doremus and directed by Italian Luca Guadagnino, who received Oscar and BAFTA nominations for his film Amore.
Destinee is set in Paris where a group of friends gather to celebrate a wedding. On the guest list is a pair of ex lovers who don't know the other is attending the event.

And who is the girl? Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen, of You Are the Apple of My Eye fame.

It's quite clear who the French luxury brand is targeting this time around.

While we find the English actor playing her ex, Oliver Jackson-Cohen cute, why not have a Frenchman with passion burning in his eyes?

Check it out for yourselves at www.youtube.com/cartier.

The Destinee ring is a diamond in the classic four-claw setting that is surrounded by tiny stones, while the band will also be studded with small diamonds as well.

Even more impressive is a half carat rock looks even bigger in this setting! From HK$66,000...
