Wear & Share: Jardin des Tuileries

Helsinki and Amsterdam were pretty darn cold over Easter, and even Paris bordered on the chilly side, meaning basically there was only one day out of 11 during which I could go bare-legged. Certainly made me appreciate muggy, humid and hot Hong Kong upon my return. That one balmy day happened to occur on the first day of arrival in Paris, which was pretty much the only day we brought the camera out. The Canon 450D takes decent photos, but is a bitch to carry around. So after much phallic documentation at Place Vendome and Concorde, when we hit the Jardin des Tuileries, it felt like the perfect time for a self-indulgent photo shoot -- outfit photos in whatever I happened to have on, running through the forest, jumping up and down on gratuitously placed green chairs, running through the forest again... Given that the garden is pretty much where most street-style photographers make their bread and butter during Paris Fashion Week, it seemed like the only place in this rather uppity city where it was acceptable to bust out the big (phallic-lensed) cam. What would Freud say about a broken zoom lens?
