There's no place like Hong Kong for taking a trend and copycatting it in the shortest time possible. So I'm posting this news from LA-based cupcake purveyor Sprinkles in the hope that someone adopts this concept for our city, stat.
Three words: CUPCAKE VENDING MACHINE. The greatest ideas are often the simplest ones. Not only will the cupcake ATM dispense fresh cupcakes, but also mixes, apparel and doggie cupcakes. Now, I've never had Sprinkles cupcakes, but I have purchased the red velvet cupcake mix sold in Williams-Sonoma, and it's pretty damn good. Hit up the vending machine if you're in LA, or wait the couple of weeks it takes for someone in Hong Kong to catch on to this blog post and create a local version.
And whoever that is -- put some donuts in there, too?
